Geez, time sure does fly when you're having fun, right? I hadn't even realized it's been 2 months since I've posted anything here. We've had a lot going on, but have also been enjoying a little bit of down time as well.
The boys started in an instructional rec league for soccer this past weekend, so our Saturday mornings are now set thru May. John Anthony isn't too happy about not having a day each week that he can sleep in anymore, but he enjoyed the first practice, so hopefully that will carry thru and he won't think about the sleep he's losing too much.
We've slowly been adjusting to "life without mom" since John's mom passed away in December. There have been a few times where John and I have each caught ourselves thinking "Mom would know that - I should call her." The boys have had a tough time adjusting, as well - especially Alex. He broke my heart during church a few weeks ago when, after mass, he turned to me and said "Mommy, I want to go visit with Grandma's spirit now."
It's hard to believe, but the boys will be on Spring Break from school in just 2 weeks. We've decided to surprise them with a trip to FL and will be going to both Legoland and Universal's Islands of Adventure. I finally got our hotel booked this past weekend and I can't wait to surprise them with this. I'm really hoping I can hold out until at least at some point during the drive, but would love to be able to keep it a secret until we get to the hotel and/or the first park we go to. :o)
